Another chance to see what the NMD hype is all about.
Sneaker culture moves fast these days. Whereas it used to takes many years (sometimes a decade or more) for an OG sneaker to return, now all it takes is a little over a year. Maybe it’s just an adidas thing, because the three stripes brand is bringing back the OG colorway of the NMD sneaker later this month.
The shoe that started a worldwide frenzy was originally released in 2015 in a simple black, red, blue and white colorway. It’s since morphed into a full-fledged line, so popular it was one of the best-selling sneaker of 2016. The shoe was perennially sold out, and will undoubtedly sell out in moments. The shoe features a simple Primeknit upper and a basic Boost sole, making them extra comfortable as well as highly coveted.
Adidas originals are a smart brand, and they’ve upped the price tag this time around for the sought-after shoe. While the original Adidas NMD retailed for $140, the retro OG colorway will cost $180, on par with their Ultraboost line.
Make sure you mark your calendars for January 14 and bookmark adidas.com/NMD.
