Joey Bada$$ just announced his sophomore album, All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, the follow-up to 2015’s B4.Da.$$. To coincide with the announcement, the Brooklyn spitter has returned with a music video for the album’s lead single, “Land of the Free.” The video shows Joey leading a group of African-Americans through the rough terrain of an American landscape before encountering a standoff between the group and white authoritarian figures, including businessmen, police officers and politicians.
Co-directed by Joey and Nathan R. Smith, it’s a visually powerful statement, especially relevant when considering the current political climate. Watch the new video above and pre-order All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ here ahead of its April 7 release.
