A thief broke into rapper Soulja Boy's California home and made off with more than $20,000 worth of assets earlier this week, according to a report.
The alleged burglar removed the hip-hop star's front door, entered the home and stole roughly $10,000 in cash and $12,000 worth of jewelry during the Tuesday morning break-in, TMZ reported.
Surveillance cameras at the "Crank That" artist's Hollywood Hills residence reportedly captured a glimpse of the subject, and local police continue to investigate the circumstances.
Soulja Boy was not home at the time of the incident, according to the celebrity gossip site.
It's been a disharmonious start to the New Year for Soulja Boy, who waged a fuming online feud with fellow musical artist Chris Brown last week after allegedly liking a photo of Brown's ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, on Instagram.
Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndrew Cortez, eventually apologized for his role in the war of words, in which he referenced Brown's troubled past with Rihanna and accused him of doing drugs.
"I just want to send an apology," the rapper said in a selfie video. "Over the past couple of months I've been acting out, I've been wilding out, and at the end of the day it's not about who starts the beefs, it's about who ends them."
The hip-hop artists are still set to square off, however, in a boxing match in Dubai. Soulja Boy, 28, tapped Floyd Mayweather to train him, while Brown, 27, earned the support of Mike Tyson.
There's currently no evidence that Brown is in any way involved with the robbery, TMZ reported.
